HTHS cypHER is a full-day workshop program designed to inspire middle school girls by increasing their exposure to coding, robotics, and STEM careers. Entirely organized and led by female members of the High Technology High School Robotics & Coding Club, the event creates a supportive, peer-driven environment where participants can explore technology and build confidence in their skills.
In the morning, students are introduced to the fundamentals of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and, new this year, Python. In the afternoon, they apply these skills through hands-on activities, including building their own websites, programming and driving VEX robots, and learning the basics of circuitry and Arduino. Throughout the day, participants also engage with female mentors in STEM, hear from guest speakers, and showcase their work, with opportunities to present their projects and win prizes—making for an empowering and immersive STEM experience.
