On March 24, 2025, Team 3637—”The Daleks” hosted its first annual STEMposium at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. The event welcomed approximately 50 attendees, including many who joined spontaneously, reflecting the community’s growing enthusiasm for STEM initiatives.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Assemblywoman Mitchelle Drulis, Raritan Township Deputy Mayor Scott Sipos, and Hunterdon County Commissioners Jeff Kuhl and Susan Soloway, whose presence added a sense of honor and importance to the evening.
The program began with the team welcoming sponsors and guiding them to their seats. Opening remarks expressed heartfelt gratitude for their ongoing support and outlined the evening’s agenda.
Guests were then shown an impact video highlighting Team 3637’s journey and accomplishments, emphasizing the team’s commitment to advancing STEM education. This was followed by the presentation of the 2024–2025 robot, including a detailed explanation of its capabilities and a live demonstration of its performance.
A guided workshop tour offered attendees a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s operations. Mechanical team members Riya and Jason led the way from the Commons to Room 807, where they discussed equipment and mechanical roles. In Room 807, Jiayuan and Rick explained the tools and responsibilities of the electrical team. Thatcher and Dominicshowcased CAD models and the CNC process, while Dan T. and Dan D. led visitors through the programming room to discuss coding aspects. Finally, Dhruv from the Business and Outreach Team (BOT) introduced guests to BOT operations and emphasized the importance of communications and outreach. The tour concluded with a thank-you message and a preview of the remainder of the evening.
The event transitioned into a relaxed meet-and-greet session with refreshments. During this time, local FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams demonstrated their robots, illustrating the progression from FLL to FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Team 3637 members also engaged with sponsors and attendees, fostering meaningful connections that support the team’s continued growth.
The STEMposium not only celebrated Team 3637’s accomplishments but also strengthened community ties and inspired the next generation of innovators. The event served as a testament to the team’s dedication to STEM education, collaboration, and outreach.
