On March 22, joy, laughter, and the spirit of HOPE filled the Boys & Girls Club of Newark as over 100 kids and parents gathered for the Arman Roy Foundation’s Annual STEM Party! Hosted by our incredible Youth Squad in honor of Arman’s birthday, this special day was a beautiful reminder of what happens when children come together to inspire and uplift one another.
From the moment families walked through the doors, curiosity and creativity took center stage. Children of all ages explored the wonders of hands-on STEM at interactive stations led by our passionate volunteers. Whether it was programming robots, diving into virtual reality, experimenting with 3D pen art, or making colorful slime, every activity sparked excitement and discovery. The creative animation, coding, and cybersecurity workshop offered a true glimpse into the tech-filled world of tomorrow.
But the magic wasn’t just in the activities—it was in the connections. Our Youth Squad members, all of whom are New Jersey students themselves, took the lead in showing other children just how fun and empowering STEM can be. They were more than just volunteers; they were friends, mentors, and champions of hope. Through each smile and encouraging high-five, they reminded us all that kids helping kids is one of the most powerful ways to spark hope.
Arman Roy’s birthday on March 24 serves as the inspiration for this annual event. Arman, who deeply valued digital exploration and access, is remembered through the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to providing STEM opportunities to all. The Foundation’s Chairman, Founder, and Arman’s mother, Manisha Roy, shared,
“Arman knew how fortunate he was to have boundless resources to explore and enjoy the beauty of our digital world. This event, organized by our foundation’s youth volunteers, is a way to celebrate his life and honor his legacy by sharing the gift of STEM with everyone.”
