Liberty STEM Ecosystem Alliance

Our Vision

Liberty STEM Alliance is a renowned community dedicated to enriching STEM opportunities in Hudson County by incorporating all voices, creating pathways, and serving as an information hub.

Priorities and Accomplishments

Hudson County Hack-A-Thon!

In June 2018, the Liberty STEM Alliance engaged students from grades 5-7 from local public schools, and challenged them to identify a local problem and develop an app-based, practical solution.

Increase communication among STEM stakeholders in Hudson County to scale up effective programs and develop new opportunities.

Collaborative Grants

Increase opportunities to apply for national and regional grants to support STEM education.  Grants to date include RFPs submitted to the New York Life Foundation and the Big Read grant.

Raspberry Pi's 'Picademy'

In June 2018, ecosystem lead partner, Liberty Science Center, will host the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s Picademy, offering free professional development in digital making and computing.
