Job Description:
The STEM Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing UACHS’ new STEM program. This includes developing STEM curricula, providing professional development for teachers, and creating STEM-related extracurricular activities. The STEM Coordinator will also work with the Service Learning and Internship Coordinator and the school community to promote STEM education and inspire students to pursue STEM careers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reduced teaching load (2-3 STEM electives: computer science, robotics, etc.)

Develop STEM curriculum that is aligned with the school’s standards and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Provide professional development for teachers on STEM pedagogy and best practices.

Create STEM-related extracurricular activities, such as clubs, competitions, and field trips.

Work with the school community to promote STEM education and inspire students to pursue STEM careers.

Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of the STEM program.

Stay up-to-date on the latest STEM trends and innovations.

Other duties as assigned by the principal.
