Mary Jo Hutchinson

Mary Jo Hutchinson is the K-12 Supervisor of Mathematics, Business, K-5 Computers and Robotics, the Co-Coordinator of STEM Initiatives, and the Coordinator for Gifted & Talented Education for Delran Township Schools in Delran, NJ, and the Co-Lead for the Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance along with Erica DeMichele. She has been an educator in New Jersey for 22 years, as a classroom teacher and more recently as a K-12 curriculum supervisor. As a co-Lead of the Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance, she is thrilled to work on enhancing opportunities for high quality STEM learning experiences for all students in the Delran Schools, and beyond in Burlington County.
Mary Jo is especially passionate about STEM learning for ALL, by increasing opportunities and engagement for underrepresented populations in STEM, and engaging students and their families before interest in STEM subjects is typically lost in the early teen years. In addition to her professional work, Mary Jo is a Girl Scout troop leader for both of her daughters, and enjoys working with other troop leaders as a service unit manager to enhance girls’ STEM and outdoor opportunities in non-school settings as well.
