Transfer Day 2019

March 1 @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

Transfer Day is an annual event, held by the Northern NJ-Bridges to the Baccalaureate (NNJ-B2B), in conjunction with the Garden State-Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (GS-LSAMP), to encourage underrepresented minority students interested in non-medical STEM fields to continue their educations past community college, at one of the seven 4-year universities of the GS-LSAMP. Students will hear a keynote address from Dr. Arnaldo Diaz, Asst. Dean for Research Training Programs at University of Pennsylvania, after which they will be able to get transfer admissions and specific program information from each university, have their resumes evaluated by the Rutgers-Newark Career Development Center staff, get information on summer research opportunities, speak with a panel of former transfer students, and receive mentoring.
