March 18 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Woodbine, March 18, 2019 – Upper Township Middle School (UTMS) is excited to celebrate New Jersey’s STEM Month, on March 18, 2019, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm, with its 2nd annual STEMinar. STEMinar is an event showcasing the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) of our world today, and what it means for jobs and careers now, and in the future. The first 72 families will receive a Make.Do kit in our welcome bag thanks to the generosity of the Upper Township Education Association PRIDE Grant. Our welcome bags are sponsored by the NJ STEM Pathways Network, funded through the Overdeck Family Foundation, awarded to UTMS as part of their STEM Month mini-grant program.
This community event is for all ages, proficiency from beginner to advanced, and invites participation in “hands-on” STEM experiences. The public is invited to attend and engage with representatives from colleges and universities, technical schools, and industry professionals showcasing STEM in their perspective fields. Activities will be facilitated by middle school students, and local STEM affiliates will be hosted for your enjoyment.
Refreshments and merchandise will be available for purchase. UTMS looks forward to gathering students, parents, teachers and administrators, community members, and local legislators to enjoy an evening of fun with STEM.
