Perfect Little Planet
March 11, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Imagine the ultimate space vacation at the Edelman Planetarium at Rowan University! What if you could travel the galaxy to find that ideal place? Discover our solar system through a new set of eyes – a family from another star system seeking the perfect vacation spot. Fly over the surface of Pluto, our best known Dwarf Planet. Dive over the ice cliffs of Miranda. Sail through the rings of Saturn. Feel the lightning storms at Jupiter. And walk on the surface of Mars. Which destination would you choose?
Residents of the South Jersey region are invited to join the Rowan University community to reach for the stars in the Edelman Planetarium. Here, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of shows and special events designed to educate, entertain and inspire. Our mission is to advance the understanding of the universe and serve as a public resource for astronomical information. Programs include elements of other natural sciences, education, communications and the fine and performing arts. Come join us as we explore the cosmos! The theater houses a 40-foot diameter dome screen and a digital projection system.
