New Jersey Women in STEM MedHealth Challenge

Hardwares like Arduino are changing the field of medical device development. Since these publicly available designs can be studied, modified, distributed, made and sold by anyone, they are promoting public interest and innovation in ways never seen before by traditional methods.

The Association for Women in Science, New Jersey chapter in partnership with STEAM Works Studio is organizing AWISNJ MedHealth Challenge to encourage middle and high school females to be part of this revolution.

We want you to explore these opportunities and start thinking about Arduino applications in the Medical/ Healthcare field. Examples include, but not limited to:

• Patient Tracking Devices
• Wearable Devices
• Physiological monitoring/ e-Health sensor platforms
• Surgical Robots
• IOT based Healthcare Systems
• Automated DNA Extraction
