New Jersey Makers Day at Piscataway Public Library

March 10, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

The Piscataway Public Library hosts its 4th Annual NJ Makers Day celebration on Saturday, March 10th. The Library will be transformed, with activities for all ages!

Activities will commence at Kennedy Library (500 Hoes Lane, Piscataway) at 10:30am and at Westergard Library (20 Murray Avenue, Piscataway) at 11am.

This event provides hands-on learning experiences for children, teens, and adults focused on the STEM fields, DiY culture, and the burgeoning maker movement. With a performance from Mad Science, a drone show by Safety Third Racing, a photo booth, and chances to experiment in our HackSpace as just some of the day’s activities, there will be something for everyone.

The Piscataway Public Library is the home of the library maker movement in New Jersey. As the site of the state’s first library MakerSpace and the driving force behind the statewide New Jersey Makers Day, the Piscataway Public Library is uniquely positioned to shape the next generation of inventors and innovators not only in Piscataway, but throughout the state.

Please contact Kathleen DiGiulio, Development Librarian, for more information. She may be reached at kdigiulio@piscatawaylibrary.org or by phone at 732-630-7497.
