Dance for Parkinson’s: A fascinating window into the human brain & body

April 17, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Please join NJCU and the Liberty Science Center for a presentation on Dance for Parkinson’s Disease (Dance for PD®), an internationally acclaimed program of movement classes for people with Parkinson’s. Program Director and founding instructor David Leventhal will present on Dance for PD®, using it as a case study for looking at the intersection of arts and science.

Leventhal’s presentation will be followed by a FREE dance class specifically for people with Parkinson’s (Tuesday, April 17, 11:00am – 12:15pm). Leading neurologists around the world recommend Dance for PD® classes for their patients, and this is an opportunity for Jersey City area individuals with Parkinson’s and their care partners to experience a class with a lead instructor of the program.
