Agraj Seva Kendra celebrated their annual STEM Day event this year on March 25th at Monroe Public Library. The 4-hr event was attended by around 200 participants and was a culmination of a 40-hr planning by Agraj youth wing in support of a community organization. The 4-hr event consisted of research presentations from the winning contestant (3 of them present their research) followed by accomplished professionals (4 highly accomplished professionals in industry and academia), admitted students (5 high school seniors admitted to ivy league schools), recent undergraduates who are continuing their study/working in industry and a parent panel discussion about the college admission process. The students had an interactive session with all these panels to guide them through college admissions and other STEM opportunities. The event was led by Meera Nair, Adwaith Hariharan and Madhav Ajay with the help of adult facilitators Annu Hariharan, Pooja Maini, Jeyram Ramachandran, Latha Nair and other Agraj youth wing members. Monroe township Mayor and council woman were present at the event and appreciated the effort of youth to promote STEM.
