Throughout NJ STEM Month, WeMake 4-H organized a variety of events, including workshops on Java and C++ coding, web and 3D design, and other interactive experiences. These workshops were hosted at several libraries in Edison, Metuchen, and Woodbridge. Additionally, they held a light-up card making workshop for a special needs club, and celebrated NJ Makers Day with a “Strawberry DNA extraction” workshop and an E-Textiles workshop for girls. The aim of these events was to introduce students to engaging with hands-on STEM projects. They even created wearable light-up bandanas using Lilypad electronics in our projects.
