Hosting organization:Rutgers Newark GS-LSAMP Student Club

County: Essex

Total Attendees: 15

The LSAMP Student Club embarked on an educational adventure to the American Museum of Natural History. The students boarded a shuttle to Newark Penn Station, where they hopped onto a train before transferring to the MTA subway. Their excitement grew as they journeyed toward the renowned Museum in New York City. Once inside the museum, they were thrilled to explore an array of exhibits, delving into topics such as extinct and endangered animals, the inner workings of planet Earth, the awe-inspiring vastness of space, and the rich tapestry of human cultures from across the globe. This comprehensive experience expanded their understanding of the interconnected nature of life on Earth and beyond. Each student was able to explore niches of their interest and augment their studies with their choice of exhibit exploration, including special showings courtesy of the grant from NJ STEM Pathways, exploring ecology and biodiversity of different biomes, the solar system and beyond, and down to the minutia of chapters in the history of life on Earth.
